Their 9 years of teaching together gives them a connection and fluidity in presentation and explanation, which makes the experience for the student fun and informative. Two complementary yet different personalities, they emphasize the dynamic roles of both partners in tango. Their relaxed yet precise teaching style has allowed many tango dancers to find comfort and confidence in their embrace and their movements.

Real tango - embraced, musical, intimate and elegant. They dance with an immediacy, that allows them to express both the serious and playful aspects of the dance. Each tango danced is unique, and anything could happen. Their style of dancing is firmly based in traditional Buenos Aires tango, where subtlety in interpretation and connection come first, and improvisation is everything.
What have they been up to?
Jenny and Ricardo have performed and taught all over the UK, in Europe and in Argentina. Since beginning to work together in 2002, they have developed a reputation as one of the leading tango couples in the UK, where they are known for their expressive and spontaneous performance and their detailed and engaged teaching. In 2003 and 2004 they danced in the sell-out show, 'The Tango Spell' with Pasodos Dance Company in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and in Theatres in Dublin, Palma de Mallorca and Lisburn, N. Ireland, where their dance was described as ‘stunning work of elegant movement and feeling’ (Fringe Report).
From 2003 until 2006, Ricardo appeared regularly on British TV in the BBC1 tango ident. Jenny & Ricardo have performed in some of the most prestigious milongas in Buenos Aires, such as Salon Canning, Milonga10, Porteño y Bailarín and La Milonguita, and they have also danced with Raul Garello’s Orquesta de Tango de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires in the Teatro de la Rivera. They have performed for 20,000 people at the BBC Proms in the Park event in Glasgow, with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra, which was also broadcast live throughout the UK. In 2011, Jenny and Ricardo are teaching and performing in North America for the first time.
Jenny and Ricardo are in demand for workshops and performances and spend a lot of weekends travelling. They are based in Edinburgh, Scotland where they have their tango school and run their Rumbos de Tango Studio night, which will be celebrating it’s 10th anniversary in 2012. In 2003, Jenny & Ricardo organized the first annual Bailongo! tango festival in Edinburgh, to celebrate the flourishing of Argentine tango in the UK. They spend time in Buenos Aires each year continuing their studies, practicing and developing ideas.
