MORE ABOUT OUR STARS    Kasia Czech and Tymoteusz Ley
Their dance is full of passion, emotions, sensuality. They move with a wonderful musicality and fluidity, in unbroken connection.
Kasia started her tango experience in Barcelona, where she was taking intensive classes of tango de salon with Argentinean masters Jorge Udrisard and Andrea Ponzetti. Tymoteusz inherited the passion for tango from his parents, also tango teachers. They met at Tango House School in Krakow, where they were taking tango nuevo classes, and soon became teachers.
Over the years they studied with Luis Bianchi and Daniela Pucci, Pablo Villarraza and Dana Frigoli, Pablo Inza and Eugenia Parilla, Adrian Veredice and Alejandra Hobert, Jose Halfon and Virginia Cutillo, Ismael Ludman and Maria Mondino, Ozgur Demir and Marina Marques, Mila Vigdorova and Rodrigo Fonti, Esteban and Evelyn Cortez and others. These experiences allowed them to create their own modern, unique vision of tango.
Kasia and Tymoteusz are the founders of the “Tango Nuevo School” in Krakow. They teach their students to understand basics of the movements to let them invent more advanced and interesting solutions. They encourage them to look for new possibilities and develop their own style of expressing themselves in the dance. Tymoteusz focuses on expanding creativity of the leader; Kasia works mostly on body awareness in order to improve the following. For both of them it is most important to maintain the connection of the couple and share the emotions of the dance. They teach in Polish, Spanish and English.
They taught and performed at many milongas in Europe (Dublin, Barcelona, Warsaw, Krakow, Kiev) as well as at the festivals such as Velvet Tango in Crimea, Puente del Tango in Krakow,, International Warsaw Tango Festival, Tango Impro Festival in Warsaw and Lviv Tango Festival.
They also performed on stage with many well-known musicians and orchestras, like German bandoneonist Christian Gerber, Greek singer Jorgos Skolias, Iranian artist Emam, singer Magdalena Lechowska and Aires de Tango Orchestra, Al Tango Orchestra, and many others. Kasia and Tymoteusz took part in the Tango Show at Congress Hall Theatre in Warsaw with sexteto New Tango Bridge with pianist Waldemar Malicki and violin orchestra, as well as in the Project Global Bridge with the precursor of tango nuevo in Poland, Grzegorz Frankowski.
Kasia and Tymoteusz are popular and active members of Krakow’s tango community. They organize many tango events, milongas and shows.
