Yamila Viana is a versatile and innovative dancer focusing on the quality of movement derived from various dance disciplines. Her curiosity to gain ore knowledge in dance led her to aerial dance and tango. With a strong background in classical and contemporary dance, Yamila joined the National Ballet Company in Buenos Aires in 1998. She performed and toured with the company throughout Latin America and Europe.
For 14 years tango has formed an integral part of Yamila's dance world. Her skills as a professional performer are Incorporated into her teaching method. Her teaching style is suitable for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from social to professional. Yamila shares with her students her experience in rhythm, musicality, interpretation, improvisation, creativity and emotion in the dance.
In 2007, Yamila moved to Italy and began teaching in Venice and Rome in addition to participating in numerous tango festivals.
For the next few years, Yamila will share her teaching experience between New York and Buenos Aires.

Alexis Rosen has been dancing Tango for nine years, and teaching for the last four. He first gained notice as an original and creative leader of Tango Nuevo. However, in the last couple of years he has focused closely on close embrace as well. Alexis believes that great dance is built on musicality, connection to the partner, and fundamental movement technique. Many of his classes start with a specific sequence of movements, which are then used to explore those three topics in depth. The first teachers to strongly influence Alexis were Robin Thomas and Mario Consiglieri. While he has learned from numerous other teachers in Buenos Aires and the U.S. since then, the biggest influence on his dance comes from the many great followers he has danced with, including his partner Vanja.
