More about our stars....

Alex Krebs teaches Argentine tango for the social dance floor, emphasizing the improvisational side of the dance through a strong communication between the lead and follow and on musicality. Alex tries to give his students the vocabulary necessary so that each person can find their own unique way of dancing -- dancing the tango of their own body.Alex's teaching is in high demand all over the world. In addition to teaching, he DJs, performs, and directs the Conjunto Berretin in which he plays the bandoneon.

Anne-Sophie Ville, a Belgian native, is recognized for her skills as both a follower and leader. She is also known as a dancer of all styles: a true milonguera when she dances close-embrace and a fluid and innovative tanguera when she dances the "Nuevo Tango" style in open embrace. She was well-known as a DC area host and organizer, and was the founder of the Washington DC Tango Marathon. In 2007, she decided to leave the United States and travel the world to dance and teach tango. In addition to spending lots of time in Buenos Aires, Anne-Sophie is now visiting tango communities over the world to share her enthusiasm and love of the dance.

As a DJ, Mila Khoroosi strives to connect with the dancers so that her selections provide them with the energy that they need to keep the dance floor alive. By exploring the subtleties of each night, she uses her experiences as a DJ to deepen her own understanding of the music and how it shapes the mood of the crowd. She DJs at various venues in San Diego and LA. She has played at festivals in San Diego, Fort Bragg, and Portland, as well as at SFTX.
