More about our stars:

Eli Leserowitz began to dance Argentine Tango in New York City, launching him to what would become his life's passion. From the day he started dancing, he has not stopped for an instant. Eli is an exceptionally creative and sensitive dancer who is in a constant state of fascination with the structure of tango moves and music. Eli's
unmistakable presence and unique style of dance made him one of the most recognizable figures in the milongas of New York.

After dancing for some time in New York, Eli began searching for new tango experiences. He began touring the United States taking classes with the best local teachers and Argentine masters who were visiting the US, and in 2008 Eli made his initial journey to Argentina, where he deepened his understanding of the tango in the milongas of Buenos
Aires. Eli's particular style of dance was borne out of these experiences combined with his extraordinary autodidactic ability.

Eli is a thorough teacher, going to great lengths to convey the fundamental techniques and musicality of a movement to his students. He has an uncanny ability to incorporate the newest moves into traditional dancing. Eli's attitude of being a constant learner makes him an approachable and a widely popular teacher. His enthusiasm for tango is contagious. He has taught in cities across the US including New York, Los Angelis, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Saint Louis, Kansas City and at Universities such as Princeton University (NJ), Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Hunter College (NY), and the University of Minnesota.

Amy Anderson has been a professional dancer in Denver, Colorado for most of her career. She did her early training and performing with Colorado Ballet and danced with the company for 5 years. She continued dancing as a professional ballet dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet and David Taylor Dance Theatre but began to branch out into contemprorary ballet and modern dance as well.dancing in such companies as Colorado Repertory Dance and Jan Justis Dance Company. She worked with many choreographers including Milton Meyers, John Mead, Kim Robards, Hannah Kahn, and Jim Clouser to name a few. During this time Amy developed an interest in choreography and began choroegraphing many pieces that were of a humorous intent. Many of them have been performed for years by DTDT but she has also choreographed for Colorado Ballet and Ballet Nouveau.

Amy continues to choreograph, dance Argentine Tango, and has her own Pilates practice at A Living Ats Centre. She has been teaching Pilates for 20 years and specializes in injury rehabilitation and Dance Medicine. She has been dancing Argentine tango for 8 years and has performed in tango festivals in Portland Oregon and Montreal Canada
with Nick Jones as well as dancing her own choreography in The Tango Zone in NYC in August 2011.

In addition to being the founder and director of Woodstock Tango, Ilene has established a reputation as a popular, traditional Tango DJ, who DJ's regularly at milongas in NYC and at festivals (recently Boston & Chicago). She is one of the very few non-Argentines to DJ in Buenos Aires at Salon Canning (three times) and the only one to have DJ’d PorteƱo y Bailerin. She is a "traditional" DJ, using cortinas, tandas and the most beautiful classic tango ever recorded. (She is also adept at offering some lovely danceable surprises from the modern and alternative tango worlds...). She conducts MEET THE MUSIC sessions to better acquaint dancers with the key orquesta's of the Golden Age, and is available to DJ private parties and events, and more....
